Meloric is a desktop app that helps people make videos. It runs on your own computer.
If you choose to connect a Google account in Meloric (Settings, Library storage), Meloric asks Google for one permission: the Google Drive "drive.file" scope. This lets Meloric create, read and delete only the files and folders that Meloric itself created, in a folder called "Meloric Library (DO NOT EDIT)". Meloric cannot see any other file in your Drive.
Those files are pictures, video clips, sounds and catalogue notes that Meloric collects for your videos, so the same file does not have to be downloaded twice.
We do not collect, receive or store your Google data on any server of ours. Meloric talks to Google directly from your computer. The sign-in token that lets Meloric reach your Drive is stored on your computer, in Meloric's own protected secret store.
We do not sell, rent or share your data. If you share your library with a teammate through Meloric, they can use the Meloric library folder only. They never receive your Google password.
You can disconnect at any time inside Meloric, or remove Meloric's access in your Google Account under Security, "Third-party apps with account access". You can delete the "Meloric Library" folder in Google Drive whenever you want.
Meloric's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
